With regard to walls, SanMarco terracotta is at its best in fair-faced cladding solutions, in which various forms (bricks, hollow tiles, slats and architectural elements) combine in different ways to express the character of designs conceived specifically to showcase the attractiveness and versatility of terracotta.

Ventilated Facades

SanMarco renews the tradition of brickwork with a new system for ventilated facades. A particularly innovative type of vertical closure in opaque terracotta, in which a blade of air “cuts” through the outer skin of the building, interrupting the conventional continuity of wall and cladding. The terracotta units, made by double-skin extrusion, are available in large formats; an example is Piterak® Slim, whose elegant contemporary design can reach 500×1800 mm.
